Madgett Law Files Class Action Housing Discrimination Case

David J.S. Madgett, on behalf of a group of low-income tenants, filed a class action complaint in Hennepin County District Court alleging that Minneapolis based rental management company, Housing Hub, illegally transferred the cost of repairs required by the Section 8 Program to low-income residents. Shortly after required Section 8 inspections took place, low-income residents received bills for landlord-required repairs and maintenance identified by the Section 8 inspectors. Upon residents refusing to pay, Housing Hub threatened to eviction, thereby jeopardizing the residents’ continued participation in the Section 8 program. Read more via the attachedĀ Complaint.
